48th Annual Members Meeting
February 13, 2025
Notice of Member Meeting for North Runnels Water Supply Corporation
- The 48th Annual Membership Meeting for the North Runnels Water Supply Corporation will be held at the Winters Activity Center, located at 601 Wood St., Winters, Texas. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025.
- Members who want to address the board or the membership must sign-in on a separate sheet provided by the presiding director indicating the topic they wish to discuss. Members will be given three minutes each to speak.
- No motions may be accepted, or action taken on issues brought up at the meeting from the floor. All action items must have been included on the posted agenda. Members can request that items be placed on the agenda for future annual (or special) member meetings or for future meetings of the Board of Directors. This limitation is required by the public notice requirements of the Texas Open Meetings Act and is not an attempt to limit any member’s access to address an issue to the Board of Directors or the membership.
- Immediately following the Annual Membership Meeting, will be the directors election. The board will also designate those directors who will have the authority to sign checks, etc. on behalf of the Corporation.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- PLEASE call if you see what appears to be a leak.
- PLEASE keep the right‑of‑ways shredded, especially if it is CRP land where our water lines are. This helps us detect leaks faster, which saves your Corporation money.
- EVERY MEMBER SHOULD HAVE THEIR OWN CUT OFF VALVE ON THE MEMBER'S SIDE OF THE METER, OUTSIDE THE METER BOX. This valve is used when the customer has a water leak, etc. The corporation angle stop, in the meter box, is for emergency use by NRWSC employees only.
- We currently have a cross connection prevention plan in effect. We don’t want to risk contaminating our water system. If you have a well that is connected to our system, please call the office. Also, if you fill up pet water, stock tanks, or chemical sprayers with a water hose, you may need an RPZ (reduced pressure zone) installed. The backflow device needs to be inspected every year and the inspection form turned into our office. If you do not think you are required to have a RPZ or DCV, you must have a CSI (Customer Service Inspection), by a licensed CSI inspector.
