CUSTOMER SHUT OFF VALVE (CSV)

It is a requirement of North Runnels Water Supply Corporation that each customer must have a Customer Shut Off Valve (CSV) on their side of the meter. This is the area between the meter and the property belonging to the customer.
The valve on North Runnels WSC side of the meter should NEVER be used to turn off the water. This valve is not meant for continuous use and it will cause the valve to wear and break. In the event that this happens you could be charged for any repairs, and up to and including removal of the meter due to meter tampering (see Texas Administrative Code 24.163).
If you do not have a Customer Shut Off Valve (CSV) on your side of the meter, you will need to get one installed as close to the meter as soon as possible.
This will not only protect your meter from damage, but will enable you to shut off your water in the event of a leak and ultimately save you from a large water bill.
